Thanks for posting your query.
From the information you have given,
You are going through the preparation phase for labour.
Labour process starts gradually with increase in Braxton Hicks which can become painful at times, increased
vaginal discharge ( should not be foul smelling or associated with itching or discoloured), blood stained vaginal discharge called show or breaking of waters.
If you experience pain in your lower back or abdomen with tightening and its fairly regular and increasing in intensity , chances are you are entering labour.
Its a good idea to time the contractions with your hand on the tummy.
If the frequency is atleast once in half an hour or even more frequent , visit the hospital to check as second labour is usually quicker.
You have not mentioned whether you delivered naturally or by
caesarean section in your first
pregnancy.
If it was a caesarean section, its important that you visit the hospital as soon as you start experiencing painful contractions as we are worried about the uterine scar.
Apart from regular painful contractions, if you break waters, or have bleeding or blood stained discharge or if you find baby's movements less than usual, its an indication to go to hospital directly.
Its a good idea to pack things and keep it ready. You should also have some one with you all the time to help you to get to the hospital early. You shoudl also have access to emergency number of hospital.
When you leave to the hospital in labour pains, it may be better not to eat or drink anything (except water or clear liquids) before doctor check up is done.
Hope this helps,
All the best. Take care.
