I have symptoms of a UTI but it only lasts half a day before going away. The next day however, it comes back again. I also have an increase in thick vaginal discharge. The color is either cloudy white or light yellow but there is no odor. I m not sure whether or not I have an infection.
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
You may or may not be having a urine infection. The only way to find out if it is a urine infection is by doing a urine microscopy to look for pus cells and doing a urine culture and sensitivity. This investigation is especially important, because if you are having recurrent infections, then you would be prescribed a prophylactic antibiotic like Nitrofurantoin which you be taking at bed time to prevent you from acquiring any infections in the future.
Thick vaginal discharge may be physiological- i.e. normal bodily function. As it not having any odour and is not itchy it is most likely non-infectious. Again the only way to confirm whether it is vaginal infection or not is by taking a vaginal swab and sending it for culture and sensitivity.
I hope this answer has helped you.
