Pregnant, Have Poison Ivy On Vagina, Itches, Swollen Bumps Over It. What Can I Do To Get Rid Of It?

I think I may have poison ivy on my vagina and on the sides of it where the crease of my legs are. It itches and have some swollen bumps over it. I may have some poison on the side of my belly as well. I am 17 weeks pregnant. What can I do to get rid of it? :(

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

This is best treated with a topical steroid cream. It will only get better with time! In some cases it can be serious enough to require oral steroids. This is something that should be assessed as soon as possible. There is little chance of harm to the fetus, but your immune system is somewhat suppressed during pregnancy and it may be more serious than normal and harder to get rid of with just topical steroids alone. Good luck to you!

I hope that this helps and good luck!
