Pregnant Nurse, Nursed Patient With TB. Any Risk?
hi, i am 26+1 weeks pregnant and i work in a nursing home. Ive have found out that a lady that i have nursed has TB. She hasnt got a cough therefor no spore have been flying around. I am led to believe that the TB is around her heart and not in her lungs. I was vaccinated as a child. Is there any risk to my unborn child? many thanks for taking the time to read this message.

According to your description the chances of infection is low, any how as immunity decreases in pregnancy better to get investigated.
As you know ESR levels are not reliable in pregnancy, better to go for differential count.
In that if there is any abnormal rise of lymphocytes, you can suspect some possibility of tuberculosis.
If so, go for mantoux test to confirm the possibility.
If test shows positivity better to consult pulmonologist and take treatment according to his advice.
