Pregnant, Pink Discharge, Blood Clots. Ultrasound Showed No Heartbeat. Is Everything Okay?

Hi please help me! On aug 9, I did an u/s to confirm my pregnancy and the doctor told me I was about 6 to 7 wks pregnant and to see him in September, however while at work on Wed I used the washroom and noticed pinkish blood with 2 tiny clots when I wiped so I went straight to ER and was given bed rest for the rest of the week. I went to see my doctor the following day which was Sept 5th and he told me the u/s show I am 8 wks pregnant and there was no heartbeat. He said to check with him in 2 wks, but today I bleed even more and it was redder and I saw a piece of clot the size of a pea. I really want this baby, please tell me what could be happening. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
I feel sorry to inform you that these findings & your history goes in favor of either a missed miscarriage or an incomplete miscarriage. You should inform this recent bleeding to your doctor, to know the current status.
If bleeding settles & fetus is still inside, you may wait for 2 weeks to repeat a final ultrasound.
Take care.

OB & GYN Specialist Dr. Dr. ARIF N K's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. As there is no heart beat even at 8 weeks of pregnancy, its highly unlikely the pregnancy will continue. Anyways stick to your doctor, and repeat the scan after 2 weeks. But I dont think it will be much help.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups. If you like my answers kindly rate it, and write a review as well. Please do not forget to accept it.
Thank you,
Wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr Arif
