Pregnant, Spitting Blood Occasionally, Dark Spots On Lungs. Suggestions?
I'm pregnant with my second child and out of the ordinary I've been tasting blood and when I spit it is blood I always look at my teeth to see if that was the cause but I don't notice any blood on or around my teeth at all...now I'm not spitting blood all the time it's like every once in a blue moon or so and I'm starting to get a little concerned as to what is causing it now I do have dark spots on my lungs that I've seen a lung doctor for a year about and they don't know what it is. Should I get ahold of my Ob-Gyn? Or is there something else I should do?
Spitting blood meas its coming from inside the upper respiratory tract. YOu need to be investigated further. If you have a spot on the lung, the diagnosis needs to be confirmed so as to find out if its an infection. Tuberculosis should be ruled out. Ches t xray and sputum for AFB should be done. Inform you OBGYN.
