Pregnant Taking Duphaston. Had Hematoma And Low Lying Placenta. Do I Have Hypothyroidism?
hi i am 32 in my 15th week of pregnancy . taking duphaston twice daily as i had minute hematoma and low lying placenta. just got my tsh and t3, t4 test. my tsh levels are .23 as range starts from 0.55 and t4 are 13.6 as highest limit is 12.50. does that mean i have hyperthroidism and if have then is taking dupaston safe or does it effect hyperthroidism
Hello Thanks for your query. Duphaston has no corelation with your thyroid disorder. Your TSH is low but T4 is borderline high. This condition is called subclinical hyperthyroidism. In this condition, the values are raised borderline, however patient has no symptoms. Please consult your obstetrician / endocrinologist for further evaluation of free T 4 etc. Take care.
