Pregnant, Thalassemia Minor, Been Stressed. Done Blood Transfusion And Iron Infusion. Is There A Treatment Available?

Hii m 32 weeks pregnant. m thalasemia minor patient so I feel low hb level (around 6.5 )starting from my pregnancy.I had iron infusion and blood transfusion of 3 units & at that time it incresed upto 9.3.but now its again went to 6.5.is there any treatment available to increase hb bcz my gynac again advised me fr second transfusion.m going through a stressful pregnancy period plz suggest me if any treatment available fr it.

Hello,
Im afraid that transfusions are the only way to increase your Hb at this stage in your pregnancy. Oral medication wont work fast enough. There isnt any permanent treatment right now. I suggest you go for a transfusion again.
