Prescribe Medicine For Hypertension That Does Not Lead To Weight Loss

I am small and was recently diagnosed with hypertension. What blood pressure medicine will keep me from losing weight? My doctor prescribed Triamterene and in about 1 week I have went from 122
lbs to 116lbs. I already thought I was too small and now I really look frail and sick.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, recently you have developed the hypertension. It is called the essential hypertension.
It may be secondary to the nephrotic syndrome, or the kidney infection.
I advise you to consult a nephrologist for diagnosis and treatment.
The weight loss may not be due to the tablets,it may be independent of it.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
