hi sir

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. As per the limited history you provided , i think your in alcohol dependence and presently in withdrawal state.

withdrawal state will have symptoms like tremors, sleep disturbances, mood swings, anger spells, palpitations. if not treated abruptly, you enter into complicated withdrawal features involving hallucinations, fit episodes and finally into delirium states.

if i were your treating psychiatrist, i would recommend you to start with benzodiazepines like chlordiazepoxide. Dose based on daily consumption of alcohol. It varies from 50mg to 150mg and gradually taperd in 2-3 weeks. You said that your using clonazepam. Its ok to use the drug but preferred choice is chlordiazepoxide.

At the same time, i also recommend you to investigate for liver function tests like S.BILIRUBIN, SGOT,SGPT,ALP. Because, in chronic alcoholics, liver is most commonly involved. If liver enzymes got raised, we should be cautious in dosing of benzodiazepines.
