Prescribed Condylox Gel For Cluster Warts Near Anus. Noticed Burning Sensation Between Scrotum And Anus. Suggest?
I was recently prescribed Condylox gel for a cluster of warts near my anus. After the first 3 days, I noticed the burning side effects people have complained about but also, the skin around my taint (between my scrotum and anus) burns and feels raised. I didn't have any warts in that area and didn't apply the gel there. I'm about to start my 2nd week and there is no burning, just itching every now and then. Is there a length of time to leave the gel on before taking a shower or a warm washcloth to the affected area? The first 3 times I used it, once in the morning, took a shower probably 8hrs later, then used it before I went to bed.
Hi, You are prescribed with the appropriate medicine. This is to be applied very cautiously as the resin content of the gel can irritate your skin. You can apply it in a very thin layer so that it should not be visible by naked eye. Do not apply it around the normal skin as it can irritate the normal skin. For burning sensation you can take benadryl by mouth.
