Prescribed Diovan, Ankles Started Swelling. Took Indapamide, Have Dizziness, Stomach Pain. Could These Be Side Effect ?
My Dr prescribed Diovan 320mg and my ankles started swelling and it didn't lower my blood pressure to a normal range, 155/60 - 172/69 so he gave me indapamide 2.5 m and that worked but having dizziness and stomach pain. I am also having extreme hoarsness. He also prescribed tramadol for severe shoulder pain. Now my voice is extremely hoarse ad very strained. Can these meds cause this? Thank you. All meds are new.
Hello. The drug that you are taking, Valsartan, at high doses (320 mg)can cause swelling in ankles. Prescription of indapamide for decrease swelling is correct. Dizziness and stomach pain are side effects very frequent of Tramadol. To decrease those adverse effects is possible decrease Tramadol dose or associate other drug, for example metoclopramide 10 mg thrice a day. Go to your doctor. He will decide about both therapeutic options. I wish you good health. (In case the answer would have been useful please indicate this)
