HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Vertigo can be related to central (brain and spinal cord) or peripheral causes.

Peripheral causes such as issues related to the inner ear are most common.
The most common conditions are BPPV, meniere's disease and vestibular neuronitis.

If nothing was found on CT ,it is possible that it is related to one of these inner ear conditions.
It is normally advised that these medications are not used for an extended period of time (more than 2 to 3 weeks).

You should consider visiting an ENT doctor to determine if it is related to the inner ear.

Treatment would vary according to the cause.

I hope this helps

ENT Specialist Dr. Arun Nair's  Response
thanks for writing to us ,

from your history the giddiness started from only a few days , the tablet prescribed to you need to be taken for at least a week . there are at least hundred causes of vertigo , post traumatic , especially , post head injury is quite common . if your vertigo persists even after the medication , advice you to undergo a full vertigo work up , including pure tone audiogram , ENG , carotid and vertebral Doppler and a thorough evaluation by a neuro otologist .

please do write in for any clarification s

hope this helps

regards

dr Arun
