Prescribed Methylpred, Zantac For Bee Sting. Have Headache. Help
Today I was stung by a bee. am allergic.. used epi pen, went to Er..Dr prescribe methylpred 4mg pack along with the 150 mg Zantac... ..the Z seems to be giving me a headache... otherwise my symptoms have calmed down from the bee bite....is the z supposed to protect the stomach for the cadista generic dispensed?
I take many meds and suppliments for the R.A. They were all listed and copied in the ER..dr reassured these latest would be ok... i can't tell you what was given besides benadryl via tofay's IV.. I do inject methotrexate once a week for r.a...been doing it 6 years.

The Zintac is ranitidine a H2 blocker .Doctor has prescribed to protect your stomach from the gastric irritation side effect of methylpred,which is very much gastric irritant. Headache is not the listed side effect of Zintac,but one can have. You can stop Zintac as your now taking benadryl for allergy. You must be already on analgesic for R A, which can take care of headache also.
