Prescribed Clomin, Duphaston. Periods Not Heavy, Only Spotting. Pregnancy Test Negative. Can Stop Medication?

Hi Dr. i took clomid for 5 days during my second day of my period for 5 days. then my doctor prescribe duphaston for 10 days from day15 . what will happen if i did not take it at all? my lmp was aug 21. on sep i had spotting til today sep 20 not enough to fill d panty liner. my period did not get heavy. i had today and it says negative. could it be the reason why i am spotting only. today no sign of heavy blood

Hi and thanks for the query,

The drugs you are taking to regularize your periods have specific indications and side effects. Regularizing periods generally with duphaston usually requires about three months. I will advise you seek the consent of your doctor before stopping the drug or modifying treatment.

It is also worth noting that during the stoppage periods, withdrawal symptoms like bleeding (increase) can be observed and should therefore be no call for any worries. thanks and hope this helps as I wish you the best of health. Kind regards.
