Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Heavy bleeding in young is known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding and cause may be many as. 1 Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease or pcod , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of both kidneys. 2 hormonal imbalance , diagnosis can be confirmed by blood examination for estrogen , androgen F S H/ L H ratio. 3 Any disease in uterus , diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus. In my opinion first of all take femilon as prescribed your doctor , if reoccurs then consult a gynecologist and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
