Prescribed With Ciplox Eye Drops And Left Eye Was Red. Taking Glucomol Drops And Eye Pressure Has Reduced
Sir good morning I was prescribed ciplox eye drops by an eye surgeon after having had an facial accident due to which my left eye was very much red but instead of plane ciplox ed the chemist by mistake gave me ciplox-d which I used for three months continuously.Due to prolong use of ciplox-d, when next time I went to eye surgeon again for poor eye vision he told this has happened due to prolong use of ciplox d and measured the eye pressure which was 23 which is higher than normal for which he stopped immediately ciplox d and prescribed glucomol .5ml eye drops which reduced the eye pressure to 16 now kindly tell me whether I have to take glucomol drops regularly to maintain the good vision or thr side effect of ciplox d is nullified, my doctor is saying letus see for few months, please suggest me what will happen now.
steroid induce glaucoma is a major health problem in developing world.. 23 is not a very high pressure wich can lead to immedicate loss of vision.. you can stop all antiglaucoma medication for 15 days and than chek ur iop.. steroid induce raised Intraocular pressure may come to normal after stopng the drug.. if pressure goes done after stoping antiglaucoma drug than there is not need to use antiglaucoma medication..
thank you
