Pressure In Pelvic Area, Discomfort In Upper Abdomen. Diagnosed As Fibroid In Uterus. Anything To Worry?

I have recently been diagnosed as having a fibroid on my uterus. It is 3 centermeters. Currently I have been experiencing a pulling/pressure sensation in the pelvic area. I too at time have experienced on and off discomfort on the upper abdomen on both the left and right side...on occasion includes a thumping sensation. At times I have felt this same discomfort on my upper back on the right and left sides. Is this something I should be concerned about and what should my doctor do?

Thanks for the query.

Fibroid can create symptoms depending on its size and position.
So once consult gynecologist and get examined.
If she concludes that your symptoms are due to fibroid, you can take treatment for fibroid.
The treatment options depends on:
Your age,
Parity,
Severity of symptoms etc.
So by taking all these factors into consideration your doctor can suggest the suitable treatment for you.
