Problem Breathing Through Nostrils, DNS Towards Right, Turbinates In Left Nostril. Advised Septoplasty. History Of Nasal Cautery. Suggest
34, F, India I have undergone nasal cautery nearly 15 years back to check frequent nose bleeding. The bleeding stopped after that but breathing problem began for the last approx. seven years. I have problem in breathing through both the nostrils. I have DNS towards right and left nostril have turbinates. Based on endoscopy and CT of Nose and PNS the doctor advised septoplasty. What should I do?
Hello, I went thro' your history. your past cauterization is different from your present problem. The Deviation of Nasal Septum (DNS) is confirmed by all tests. The best thing is - do a Sub Mucosal Resection of septum (SMR). that will relieve all your problems and follow ENT Dr's advise in the Post operative period also. Best wishes
