Prolonged Bleeding. Dizziness, Nausea After Taking Famynor. Anything Else I Can Use?
Hi i was on the 3month injection for years now. Then suddenly Im bleeding now non-stop so I went to the clinic where a sister gave me Famynor. It makes me feel nausea and dizzy- I never used prevention pills because of this; the sister advise me that Famynor will stop the bleeding. Is there not something else I can use that does not make me feel nausea and dizzy; cause the sister said I must finish the whole 21 pills she gave.
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
So you were having breakthrough bleeding on the depo-provera shot and were given birth control pills to stop the bleeding. This is a typical approach to this problem. But the side effects are a problem. Here is what you should do:
1. Call back and ask for a progesterone only pill (provera)
2. Talk with them about taking 10mg twice daily until bleeding stops, and then go down to 1 per day for another 1-2 weeks
3. Ask about an ultrasound - you should have this done
4. TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST
I hope that this helps.
