Pulse Rate Is Low, Shortness Of Breath And Heart Palpitation . Blood Pressure Medicine Changed. Thyroid Removal. Suggestion?

I have had shortness of breath and heart palpitations for the last 3 weeks or so. At first the doctor lowered my thybroid medicine and changed my blood pressure medicine. I've had my thyroid removed last year, I am not overweight. The doctor said my pulse was too slow or too low @ 45 so they changed my blood pressure medicine and my thyroid, nothing has changed it seems that I'm struggling just to get air. the inhalers they recommended are
not working at all. Nothing has worked ! My blood pressure is okay but my pulse is up and down on my blood pressure machine. I am at the point where I'm getting scared. My parents are not living both heart problems. oh and I had any ekg and showed my heart was okay.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Irregular heart beats need to be documented by ElectroCardioGram (EKG). Standard ECG records the electrical activity of the heart, for a few seconds. It can detect the arrhythmia occurring during that time only. If the episode occurs randomly, one needs Holter or event monitor.
Breathlessness may from lung problems / and the drugs (like Salbutamol for asthma) used for it may cause changes in heart beats... Anaemia / Anxiety / Alcohol / Tobacco (smoking) / Caffeine (too much tea, coffee, cola) / Fever / Infection / Pain / Stress / Thyroid / Vitamin D, calcium, magnesium / Medicines like Phenylephrine used for ‘cold’; and so on - may be responsible.... / At times, abnormal nerve paths in the heart (bypass tracts) or disease of the conduction system may be responsible!
ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. / You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS)...

The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
