Purple Color Zit On The Back Hurts. Bleeding Wont Stop When Popped. How To Stop This ?

So I was really being bothered by this zit on my back. It was a purple-ish color and it hurt to touch. I popped it, thinking no more of it and the usual puss came out of it, but with some blood too. Now it wont stop bleeding. Was it a zit and should I have not popped it?

Hello

Thanks for the query

It could be a cyst that you might have ruptured which is causing excessive bleeding. I advice you to apply pressure over it for 5 to 10 min, if the bleeding persists even in spite of the pressure then please approach a physician immediately. You will have to check your platelet count and bleeding parameters like PTT, PT and INR to know the reason behind the excessive bleeding

I hope I was of help

Regards
