Pus Filled Painful Bump On The Inner Thigh. Suffer From Depression And Iron Deficiency. Any Suggestions?
I have a big lump on my inner thigh, it has been there three days now,and its very painful. Today I woke up and couldn't help but squeeze it and loads of blood with some liquid puss shot out. Now its in a lot of pain, I can't walk properly because the clothes are rubbing. I suffer from depression and have iron deficiency wich I take medication for. This has happened on and off for two years now.
You seem to be having folliculitis over the leg. Now such a lesion, if not treated on time can turn into cellulitis. You should clean the affected area regularly with an antiseptic solution and apply a topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin over the affected area twice a day. Do not use any other creams or oil over the affected area. Wear clothes clothes so as to avoid any friction and to reduce sweating. you can take oral pain killers for the associated pain. If inspite of topical treatment, the lesion does not improve them you might need a course of oral antibiotics for which I suggest that you should see a general physician or a dermatologist.
