Pus-filled Pimple On Penis, Feels Like A Swollen Vein. What Could It Be?
hello? i burst what i thought was a pimple at the base of my penis, some pus came out, now it s formed into what feels like a hardened boil attached to something that feels like a swollen vain.. can i have some advice on what i should do about this please? it s a little sore and uncomfortable..
The lesions as mentioned in your post can be due to: 1. Folliculitis (infection/ inflammation of hair follicle) 2. Blockage & infection of sebaceous gland 3. Fungal infection 4. Allergic reaction
Symptomatic relief can be obtained with: 1. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra 2. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment 3. Calamine lotion for symptomatic relief 4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
However, the underlying cause needs to be treated. If symptoms still persist, kindly visit a Dermatologist & get a proper clinical examination done to find the exact cause. One more thing...avoid itching or squeezing it as it may further aggravate it.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
