Pus Filled Sores In The Vagina. Burning. Treatment?

hello, my boyfriend and i have recently noticed a few things in and around my vagina. there is one canker like sore on one side, it looks puss filled, a kind of yellowy colour, and on the other side there is a lump that stands out. The lump is not sore, but the canker on the other kills, it gives me discomfort, it doesn't hurt when i urinate but when water gets on it, it burns. What could this be caused from and is there anyway to get rid of it?

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic.

It is likely that what you have described is an abscess and most likely a bartholins abscess.Bartholin's abscess is not sexually transmissible rather results from bacterial growth inside the Bartholin gland due to poor drainage.

Treatment of bartholin abscess is through a special type of incision and drainage that should be done by an experienced medical doctor or gynecologist.
However, it also possible that the abscess is as a result of infection of other glands or follicle at the vulva or an std that has been super-infected with bacteria etc.

It will be best you meet doctor for detail examination and appropriate treatment.

Hope this helps you.
Best regards
Dr Achuo
