RThat Would Be Great. My Brother-in-law Is Convinved He Has

RThat would be great.

My brother-in-law is convinved he has ALS. For the past several months he has seen dozens of drs at various clinics and hospitals. They have all told him he does not have ALS.

His symptoms bean May 2018. Complaining of weakness in his arms, lack of muscle tone, extreme fatigue. He could not drive and has been on medical/personal leave from his employer, US Corps of Engineers. Now, as of yesterday, he claims the weakness in starting to affect his legs and is complaining of weakness to the point of not being able to walk.

He will see a psychiatrist sometime in Oct. Every imaging test and every and any medical test that can be performed has been done. He is starting to accept the doctors--maybe he does not have ALS.

He asked me to look to see what diseases might have the same symptoms he describes. This is a deep concern for his entire family. He spends days in a dark room, curled up in a ball, crying, because he says he knows there is something seriously wrong. If it's not ALS, what else could it be. He claims he has researched, and has all the symptoms of ALS. But the doctors--all kinds of doctors, from several fields--have all said the same thing. It is not ALS.

Are there diseases with the same symptoms as ALS?
