Raised Bumps Around Mouth, Chapped Lips. Is This Contagious?
I m concerned about having herpes, but I haven t got tested. I have been getting a weird out break on my cheaks, mouth and chin. They are raised bumps, some have black dots and some are just bumps, also I have been getting pimple like red bumps around the mouth, and chapped lips. Its not selective to one side and switches sides almost weakly for about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks now. its the first time this has happened and I m very worried. Is there something like this that is contagious or an std and how can I stop or at least keep it under control?

Hi , this looks like herpes simplex labialis. You have to take acyclovir 800 mg twice a day. This has to be taken for a week.
