Raised Rash, Redness On The Site Of Skin Grafting. What Can Be Done?

I had a skin graft done the end of march. My donor site is located on the inside of my left arm . Half of the site has a rash that is raised and very red. It is very bothersome and rubs against my aide a lot. Do you have Amy suggestions on how to remedy? My plastic surgeon said to out mederma on it but that doesn t seem right since it is irritated.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
After reading your history it appears that you might have dermatitis over the affected area. You can apply a calamine lotion with cortisone cream over the affected area. It will be better for you to take a good suggestion from a dermatologist. You can take benadryl for itching part. You may need oral steroid along with topical steroid cream to completely cure the problem.
