Raised Red Bumps On Tongue, Tongue White In Color. Taking Antibiotics For UTI. Side Effects Of UTI?
Hello. I am a 30-year-old female and I have had a UTI that has been non-responsive to certain antibiotics and have been on about 4 different ones for over a month. Just noticed my tongue is white and I have raised red bumps on the very back of my tongue, along with a dry cough and cotton mouth. Could this be a side effect to being on antibiotics so long? Thanks!

hi.. you are complaining of red bumps at the back of the tongue.. it is normal.. white patch over the tongue is due to the toxins released from the bacteria, usually enteric pathogens cause white patch over the tongue.. see your physician for the diagnosis of enteric fever by widal test and management with cephalosporins, and multivitamins.. probiotics also helps.. all the very best..
