Rashes On The Face After Taking Morning After Pill. Allergic Reaction To Medication?
Hi,
I took the morning after pill 2 days ago and woke up with rashes on my face. It is not spreading and it doesn't itch. I have taken antiallergy pills but it doesn't seem to help at all. I have taken the pill before (few years ago), but never had any allergic reaction to it. Should I visit a doctor, or is this normal?
Hi, Welcome to HCM, You have taken morning after pill if there are rashes on face yes it could be there to any of the contents. there is no itching and anti histaminic are not helping please visit it could be angioedema, to have rash after the pill is not certainly normal. This could be unrelated to the medicine may be some kind of insect bite which gone unnoticed. Please visit the doctor to see it and exactly know what it is and then it can be treated accordingly. Please take care. Good Luck. Dr. Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
