Reason For Loosing The Belly Button During Surgery?

Hi Doc,i am interested in the answer to ,why does one loose the belly button during surgery ?I had an operstion when i was eight or nine ,i did have a bulge by the navel but this one is in the lower region of my belly,can u explain?thanks in advance
The surgeon will not perform the operation unless i agree "there will not b a belly botton afterward "

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Really interesting topic. you had an umblical hernia from the child hood, that usually is. It should be closed naturally by the time you are 2 or 3. It didn't close, so surgery became necesory.
The hernia is a result of some part of the intestine, or mesentry into the naval. So for repair, naval is to be cut, and the part is pushed inside, and the abdominal wall is sutured if necesory with some support of mesh.
So when there is suturing the naval part of the abdominal wall is cut, so lost.
