hi my name is Alison I have relapse remitting MS and I was diagnosed over 12 yrs ago. I am 41 ur old mother of 2. I was in hospital this week presenting with "fade outs" I was treated with IV steroids and have been discharged but they are keeping a close eye on me. They discovered a lesion on my frontal lob which is causing my MS to mimick epilepsy. I have had a full cardio going over to to rule out anything with the heart. IOver the past 24 hours I have developed a pain under my left breast that worsens if I breath deeply or try to move. I'm not aware of it normally.
MS can be a difficult disease because depending on the type and location of lesion symptoms can occur almost any where in the body, can come and go, and be mistaken as the only cause of problems. Did you have seizures? You could have an injury, a sprain or bruise. You are 42 years old. Hormones can fluctuate a great deal more than usual in the decade before menopause. Breast pain and benign cysts are common, usually worse before a period. If the pain persists after your next period, your gynecologist should check the area and may order imaging like a breast ultrasound and mammogram. Respiratory problems are worse with deep breaths. If this doesn't improve your general doctor may want to listen to your lungs and check an x ray. Please don't ignore this if it persists, but if it improves over the next few days, I think it is OK to set concern aside.
