hi. i hit my head pretty hard against the console in a friends mini van. No blood.. no nausa.. no dizziness... that was yesterday around 5. My head still hurts a bit. Not sure if I am freaking myself out and making myself feel kinda nausous and have ear pain.
Well first of all you need to just calm down , take a deep breath and relax. Freaking out at this moment will do no good , in-fact excessive panic may also cause nausea.
It seems like there's been already 24Hrs after the injury which from your description sounds like a mild traumatic head injury. Yes its quite likely to experience a bit dizzy/nauseated/soreness over the injured area/some head and ENT pain.
Just keep yourself rested and don't involve into any strenuous activity(handling heavy machinery/driving/jym etc.). In the meanwhile watch for any appearance of bumps over the injured area(if at all happens then just apply some ice-pack/ a bag of frozen peas). if you feel sleepy don't worry and just lie down .
If any of those warning symptoms (as You've already mentioned) happen then you need to check into your nearest ER and probably get a CT-head done. So far you're doing fine and no need need to worry .
Thanks a lot for contacting HCM
