Hello. I have an unusual protrusion, possibly a swollen gland, in my hip (anterior, near the vein where the skin naturally creases when the leg is raised). I could feel it for the past few weeks but now it is a little bit swollen and it is a tad painful. Should I be concerned?
Hello, Thanks for the query. You might have developed furuncles. These are deep bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
