What Causes Swelling In The Feet After A Hip Surgery?
I had surgery on my hip and rods in my leg from a fall. I m 61. I broke my femur and fractured my hip. Didn t need to replace hip. Now 15 days after surgery my leg is way swollen as are my foot. The three cuts with staples healed well and there doesn t seem to be any infection. Why the sudden swollen leg and ankle
Sorry to hear of your problem. Swelling in left after bone fracture or surgery should be taken seriously. While mild swelling in both legs may be caused because of not moving the limbs or more fluids.
But if swelling on one side or more on one side should urgently be assessed to rule out any clot the limbs which are common after such surgeries and fractures.
