Reason For Sudden Rise In Blood Pressure?

I am a type 2 diabetic just recently diagnosed. I am 63 years old quit smoking about a year and half ago drink moderately but not willing to stop I enjoy it as my last truly bad vice. I work full time as a supervisor for a state and not willing to retire any time soon. My blood count is around 103 to 145 normally just had one that was 204 after a couple of hours of drinking but not a lot maybe one drink per hour and decided to take a blood check and this kind of woke me up. Is this the end of my drinking days going to have to move to Colorado and buy Grass if this is the case.

Dear sir

There are so many cause for sudden rise in the blood pressure.

1. Stress induced
2. inadequate or improper medications.
3. Diurinal variations like morning and evening.

Since in your situation I recommend you to rule out endocrinopathies like pheochromocytoma and other disorders.

rule out hypothyroidism.

Secondly try to add an antihypertensive drug at the night so that there will be no variation in the blood pressure in the night.

thanks
