Reason For Unexplained Bruising On Forearm Of Child?
My son has unexplained bruising on his left forearm an also on his back shoulder blade an from of his shoulder. I noticed it last night, he goes to preschool, could her have gotten it there? But then again I would think his teachers would notify me if he was injured. I'm very concerned.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
Most common cause for bruising in children in injury. It could be a injury which might have not been noticed or it could also be because of child abuse. There are causes of bruising like bleeding disorders etc. These should be thought of in recurrent unexplained bruising. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause. Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps. Take care.
