Received Treatment For Irregular Period. Will Gestofit And Maxogest Affect Baby?

hi Dr,

I am 21 years lady. I had taken treatment on MC irregulation.Before one monthe ago i checked pregency by srtip but the results was quite negative, so my family dr. suggest me maxogest.after 12 days i had taken treatment from another dr. as no MC. this dr. suggest me gestrfit.durning this period i had done 5 times pregency test but evry time that was negetive, today after 1 months i saw that previous strip turns to positive, so i had again test so test was positive.my question is that is the gestofit & maxogest affect the baby.

I am so sorry to hear about this troubling though running through your moind. We shall gladly address it. These drugs contain the hormone progesterone. It is a naturally occurring hormone and has even higher levels during pregnancy to sustain the pregnancy. It has no effects on the development of the baby. It was prescribed to help improve your chances of conception. As you are now pregnant, please talk immediately to your doctor and see whether there is any further reason to continue or stop it right now.

In all, it has no negative effects on your baby
