Recommend Tests With An X-ray For Acute Fracture Through The Base Of The Fourth Proximal Phalanx Involving The Articular Surface
Can you please tell me what you would recommend with this X-ray: Acute fracture through the base of the fourth proximal phalanx involving the articular surface. There is 10 degrees angulation. There is no dislocation. There is an element of compression and comminution
According to the result, it doesn’t need surgery but immobilization immediately. However an orthopedic specialist is needed to see you closely just for safety.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
