Recommend Treatment Options For Epilepsy With Abnormal Heart Rate

I think I am experiencing temporal lobe seizures. It occurs right when I fall asleep. When symptoms occur, I notice them and try to wake myself up out of sleep, because my heart rate gets jacked to the point where I go in a state of panic. I notice if I don t try to fight the symptoms when occurring, it will stop with 10-20 seconds and I will be able to be fully awake. It is freaking me out. YYYY@YYYY

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello and Thanks for posting your query.

Hi, I had gone through the problem and looked into the details mentioned. Palpitations are not common with temporal lobe epilepsy but can happen with insular seizures. More than epilepsy we need to rule out cardiac rhythm problems and anxiety which can cause similar symptoms.

So I personally feel you need to see a Neurologist for a detailed clinical evaluation for the cause.

Wish you a good health.
I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
