Rectal Hair Grow Longer. Is That Normal?

Because I like to keep myself neat for personal and external reasons, I often find myself shaving and grooming all parts of my body. But over the last few years I have taken notice to a certain occurrence that has been happening. My rectal hairs(not my pubic hairs) they seem to grow very long, possibly 6-11 inches long whenever I seem to pull them during my grooming. It doesn't hurt when I pull them but I can feel it, so I know where they are coming from. I just wanted to know if this was normal for rectal hairs to grow to such a degree? If not then what is wrong and what can I do?

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

It seems from your problem that you are quite stressed with the long growth of the rectal hair.
First of all kindly do not get panicky for this normal situation. It is not unusual to find long hair at genital area. Rather it is a sign of good nutritional status.
Hair growth depends basically upon the nutritional status of a person. So if the nutrition is good then the roots also have good tendency to grow the hair to good length.

Some time it also depends on the genetical tendency also. Genetically each hair is destined to grow a particular length of hair. It may vary from time to time and from area to area in different persons. Therefore other than nutritional status the other of the factors also plays its role in growth.
Kindly do not take it as disease or any abnormal process.
The good solution to it is trimming the extra growth of hair and maintaining a good local hygiene.
Hope these informations are helpful.
