Rectal Swelling With Bleeding After Bowel Movements. History Of Cholecystectomy. Burning In The Stomach. Remedy?
Have had rectal swelling with infrequent very light bleeding between bowel movements. The bleeding would be bright red and small in amount about 20 minutes to an hour after BM; occuring for several days then stopping for weeks or months. History of hemorrhoids. Feeling after BM of soreness rectally, no itching, but a sensation of having a pebble in the rectum. Feels inflamed. Stools start normal, then go to smaller shape about 3-6 inches into stool length. Left lower colon tenderness or spasms from time to time. History of cholecystectomy 3 years ago with likely bile reflux causing chronic burning stomach area as well, especially at night. Take Pepcid at night, and carafate at bedtime.
The rectal bleeding after bowel movement is commonly due to hemorrhoids. The hemorrhoids have 3 grades and each grade have its treatment accordingly. The first grade is commonly treated with drug treatment or banding ligation and the later two requires surgical removal.
Therefore you are recommended to visit a general surgeon for a detailed proctoscopy to grade your disease and receive the appropriate treatment accordingly.
For pain relief you can use troncance gel which is a local anesthetic and applied per anal.
Thanks
Regards
