Recurrent Tonsil Stone. No Relief Gargling Salt Water/listerine, Sucking O Ncough Drops. Relief From Home Treatment?

Hi I had a tonsil stone a few weeks ago, and I heard that they can grow back. But lately I have been having really bad allergies. A few days ago I noticed in the way far back part of my throat a pink/red fairly large Lump/puffiness, which does cause some discomfort( not serious pain), I have been gargling salt water, listerine, and sucking o ncough drops, but they only help for a few minutes. Any idea what this could be, what caused it, or what could i do to treat it (at home preferably)

I read your query regarding recurrent stone in your tonsil and you are doing warm saline gargling, listerine gargling and sucking o ncough drops. Inspite of taking these remedies you developed a fairly large lump in the back of throat. though this is not hurting you much.

According to your symptoms it appears as you are suffering from chronic tonsillitis with tonsilolith.

Here I would like to tell you that this may be cured only by tonsillectomy operation, no home remady or conservative treatment will be effective in such cases. If such type of cases remaines unmanage than there are possibilities of complications like Quincy, than it will become an emergency for operation.

Now a days tonsillectomy operation is quite comfortable operation and it is done easily on day care clinics. this operation is preferably done under general anaesthesia. This operation may be done by laser or coblation which are quite painless and minimal blood loss is there.
