Hello, This infection is also called as bacterial vaginosis ( BV ) and is usually due to overgrowth of your own vaginal bacteria because of abnormal vaginal PH. The basic aim of the treatment should be to restore your vaginal PH which can be done by doing following. You can use boric acid vaginal suppositories which can normalise your vaginal PH Take more of yoghurt. Use products like lactobacillus and acidiphillus Avoid douching Avoid synthetic underwears and use only cotton ones. Avoid scented soaps. Use metrogyl gel locally Take a course of metrogyl or clindamycin 500 mg twice a day for 7 days in consultation with your doctor. I hope it helps. Thanks
