Recurring Chest Pain. Normal Test Results. Suggestions?
My 89-year-old male bachelor neighbor has been having chest pains off and on since May of this year. He's been through all kinds of tests up to just recently and has been told his heart is in good shape and so is his stomach. At first they thought it might be acid-reflux. On being discharged after a number of tests on Friday, he was told by a nurse that it must be muscle spasms. I check on him quite frequently and often am there when he experiences these pains (around his rib-cage). Harold will be seeing his family doctor on October 10th. Was just wondering what your thoughts are. My email address is: YYYY@YYYY Lina
Lina I feel that the nurse can be quite right. Harold may be having muscle spasms ad hence these pains on and off. Its better to start some muscle relaxants and see like myospaz or brufenMR
