Red And Large Painful Mole On Face
I have a mole on my face; its been there a long time. Its kind of reddish and large... I think its gotten bigger recently. I have had it forever but just touched it yesterday and found it painful... And yes, I spent way too much time (in my 20 s) in the sun and not being good to my skin in that regard. Could it be a sign of cancer?

recent change in consistancy and appearance of mole of face could be sign of cancer skin, i suggest you to have biopsy done to rule of cancer as you have strong solar exposure,. skin cancer is curable with either surgery or radiotherapy and 10 year survival is 90% if its squamous/basal cell carcinoma but survival is poor if malignant malanoma that require chemotherapy besides mention above treatment.

what you are describing is not a mole. It must be a haemangioma a problem of blood vessel. it must have got infected and has given pain. however show it to your doctor to confirm it is not mole. Sudden change of size of long standing mole is a warning sign of cancer.
