Red And Swollen Tonsils, White Tongue. Tested Negative For Strep. Virus?
My 15 yr daughter has been ill since Wednesday Jan. 23rd her tonsils are red & so swollen they Almost touch. On Friday jan. 25th tested neg For flu @ strep . Culture did not grow. Today Monday Jan28th still swollen & now all of tongue is white. Should I have her seen again or ride it out as A virus? Concerned mother.
ur daughter seems to have a candidial infection aong with a viral infection. u can us a topical gel like orasep OT along with Tab cotrimazole for the fungal infection, along woith it give a couse of antibiotics. also chlorhexidine rinses would be helpful
