Red Blotchy Skin On Face, Neck, Dry After Shaving, Spreading To Neck, Chest, Back, Itchy. Advise?
i have red blotchy skin on face and neck that dries after a couple of weeks after i shave. now when i shave it shows really bad. it is starting to spread up to both sides of my nose and around my neck and chest and back. the rash on my face and nose gets really flakey. the rash on my back get really itchy and irritable.the rash on my face is spreading up my cheeks and every week its getting worse.
You seem to be developing rash of seborrheic dermatitis.
This is seen on the hairy parts of the body mostly and involves face, scalp, chest and upper back.
Treatment of this condition involves the use of topical steroid and antifungal combination creams.
Oral antihistamines can be taken for the associated discomfort and itching. Avoid using dettol or any harsh face wash or creams over the affected areas.
