Red Bumps On Back Of Tongue, Irritating Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat. Serious?
I have 2 red bumps on the back of my tongue one in the middle of my tongue way in the back and one off the side way in the back of my tongue. I feel like I always have something stuck in my throat and its irritating. I feel like I always have to clear my throat. Should I see a doctor right away. I've had these bumps for a long time now.
Hello , Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for these two bumps on the back of tongue, these includes. 1 Deficiency of Vitamins B1 , B6 B 12, Vitamin "C" diagnosis can be confirmed by blood examination for these vitamins.Physical examination is also important in this case. 2 The next reason may leukoplakia ( precancerous stage) , as you mentioned that these two bumps are from long time and not healing.Diagnosis can be confirmed by biopsy . 3 Dental texture causes irritation so develops such type of bumps.Diagnosis can be confirmed by dental examination. In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion at earliest to sort this problem. Good luck. Dr. HET
