Hi,
The symptoms you described is not of
rosacea. You are having dry and erythematous patches on face and trunk. They are increased in dry weather.
I think you may be having
atopic dermatitis...which is relapsing in winter.
Your skin is dry and that is due to atopic diathesis...
And this is not related with rosacea.
There may be some allergen. .. .pollen, wool, soap, grass, deodorants, cosmetics, housedust, housedust mite
And so on.
In my patients of atopy, I advise to find out the allergen which precipitates the disease ...by trial and error.
Take antihistaminics like
levocetirizine.
If it is embarassing, you may take
steroid in tappering dose.
Antibiotics may be taken if needed.
Locally, apply mild steroid and antibiotic in combination.
Tacrolimus or
pimecrolimus can also be tried.
Dietary restrictions of cow milk,fish,prawns,nuts..etc may be done.
Avoid soap during bath. Use some moisturiser to keep the skin moist.
You may be imoroved
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks
